Day 3 at B2GC: A Confluence of Visionaries, Innovators, and Thought Leaders

The third and final day of the B2GC Event unfolded with a promise of intellectual richness and industry insights. From quantum-resistant technologies to Ethereum’s co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, sharing his perspectives, the day was packed with discussions that resonated with the heartbeat of the ever-evolving blockchain landscape.

Kicking off the day was Dorian Bezzina, Chief Marketing Officer of Finstable, unraveling the mystery behind the slow adoption of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI). Sebastian R. Cabrera, VP of Product at Polygon ID, followed suit, presenting FEDERITALY, an intriguing exploration of introduction and certification workflows.

Emilio Canessa, Head of Global Adoption at DFINITY Foundation, delved into the future-ready blockchain and privacy technologies, emphasizing the importance of quantum resistance in the blockchain space. Dr. Duncan Wong, CTO & Chief Scientist at DABANC, offered a brief intermission, setting the stage for the exciting discussions to follow.

A compelling panel discussion on global blockchain technology development brought together luminaries such as Emilio Canessa, Zack Gall (Co-Founder & CCO, EOS Network), Sebastian R. Cabrera, and Dr. Duncan Wong. Moderated by Chris Qi, Executive Secretary of the World Blockchain Organization, the panel explored the diverse ways to build on Ethereum and how to make the right choices.

The highlight of the day came with the virtual presence of Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum. He shared his insights on the various architectural approaches on Ethereum, shedding light on L1, Rollups, Plasma, and Validiums, providing the audience with a deeper understanding of building on the Ethereum platform.

The ceremony marked the successful launch of the Mile Green and Zeego EV Project in Phuket, involving key players like Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, Mile Green Company Limited, Finstable Co., Ltd., The Mavi Hotel Co., Ltd., and Phuket 9 Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.

The afternoon session continued with discussions on BEVM, an EVM-Compatible Bitcoin Layer 2, presented by Chenxu Zhang, and the unique hybrid blockchain, FAB Chain, presented by Paul Liu, Chairman of Pay.cool Group. Angelina Zhang, Advisor to TBC Projects, shared insights into “The Thailand Idea,” while Elio Jezierski, a key member of R&D at Alita, presented “Grok Alita.”

A panel discussion on finance, featuring industry leaders like Paul Liu, Lynn Xiong, Serhat Yanar, Herbert Yang, and Chenxu Zhang, delved into the intricacies of the financial landscape in the blockchain industry.

Another thought-provoking panel discussion on Web3 Developments in 2024 ensued with  Su Rushi, Rene, Scott Hendricks, Angus Stratton, and Eddy bringing their perspectives to the table, discussing the future trajectory of Web3. The panel, moderated by Aaron Guo, provided valuable insights into the anticipated developments in the coming year.

The late afternoon sessions brought more dynamic discussions to the fore. Ken Lee, CEO of FVLaunch, illuminated the audience on revolutionizing Web3 in seven growth areas, presenting ICP’s opportunities in 2024. Herbert Yang, the General Manager of Asia at DFINITY Foundation, then took the stage to delve into “The Fully Decentralized Protocol for Launching New Ideas,” setting the tone for a decentralized future.

Scofield, Founder & CEO of BSCS, captivated the audience with insights into Thailand’s Digital Frontier, exploring the unleashed potential of the Metaverse and AI. The session was followed by a much-anticipated presentation from Sophia Athena, Co-Founder of Aquacity with COD, who shed light on Thailand’s role in the digital frontier.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, signaling the transition from educational insights to an evening of celebration, the B2GC Event embraced a vibrant agenda to conclude its final day.

The grand finale of the day came with a panel discussion on DAOs and their impact on blockchain, featuring ThreeDAO. Moderated by Ying Mu, Co-Founder & CEO of ThreeDAO, the discussion provided valuable perspectives on the growing influence of DAOs in the blockchain landscape.

The evening kicked off with guest registration, allowing attendees to capture memories through photos and engage in networking. The official announcement added an element of anticipation, setting the stage for what was to come.
